Sola's Story

I’m Sola’s Founder, Sophi LaRose. I began my journey in the Staffing industry back in the early 90’s. Since then, I’ve worked with several types of staffing services including small startup boutiques, local companies and major national staffing firms. I have experience sourcing and recruiting, consulting and branch management as well as serving in Director level positions. I've worked hard to earn the trust and respect of my Clients, Candidates, Employees and Coworkers as an industry leader and staffing expert. I gratefully and humbly thank each and every person who I've worked with for giving me the opportunity to learn and grow, not only in my industry, but also as a human being.

Through the years, I’ve been blessed to help a lot of amazing people get a lot of amazing jobs. No two days are alike and that’s one of the things I love about this job! The one thing that has never changed for me, is that each day my thoughts would bring me back to this question....how can I make this better? It was clear to me that in more recent years, I wasn’t seeing nearly as much joy and satisfaction from Candidates or Clients and I when I began to realize why, I knew that I could fix at least a few of the biggest challenges. Quality of Candidates, Retention AND Expense.

I've watched the cost of recruiting and staffing became more and more expensive throughout the years. Prices for Temp to Hire and Direct Hire continue to rise and many companies would love the help that staffing firms offer but simply can't afford it. I've also noticed that there is a clear disconnect with many Temp to Hire Employees who wish they felt more valued and secure with their work situation. After all, it’s typically 90 days or more before they become a “real” Employee. For most, that’s a long wait to become eligible for benefits, to stop being called “the Temp” and even being in situations where they are left out of bonuses, parties and team building events that are “Employees only.” You can imagine the frustration of being on an agency payroll and seeing others hired on directly. They are instantly being accepted as part of the team with all of the security and pride that goes along with it while you are uncertain if you’ll even really be hired on at the end of the contract. I’ve seen amazing Employees go from a foot in the door at their Dream Job, to this feeling of insecurity and frustration that begins to show at some point. It can seem to an Employer like a "bad attitude" or "they're not happy here". Then comes the fateful call to the staffing service to end their assignment and find someone else. And so the cycle goes. The turnover can be large but even more sad...really great Employees are lost because of the process.

Fast forward to today and a brand new way of thinking at Sola Staffing. The word Sola has deep meaning to me personally as I embark on the journey to make things better Sola or “on my own”(
fun note: SOLA is also the first 2 letters of my first and last name)

I founded Sola Staffing to make a difference and 
I simply want to be part of the process of making people's lives better and easier. I'm looking forward to many new relationships watching our Candidates "SOAR" with our unique and happy Clients. ​ ​

Sola's goals, vision and mission:
  • Sola will earn the trust of our Clients by providing them solid, qualified Candidates. We will not waste their time.
  • Sola will effectively save our Clients money on all levels of recruiting with a flat, affordable rate they can count on for their staffing budget AND a guarantee of satisfaction.
  • Sola will bring back the lost art of real interviewing. We'll spend the time and effort it takes to get to know a Candidate on a deep level so that we are successful in helping to create long term hiring scenarios.
  • Sola will will develop relationships with our Clients to understand their culture and hiring requirements. Who fits with their company and why.
  • Sola will seek out ways that we can give back to our communities. Acts of kindness and giving back can be contagious and I’d love to see us all catch it. ​
